Hello, my name is Jean Libby. I am Elisabeth Libby's mom. She makes video documentaries. She is my favorite model for portraits. I am now a retired US History instructor at community colleges in northern California. When I was younger I was a professional wedding photographer. I enjoyed capturing the family relationships and making candid portraits. This is still a pleasure.

My second favorite portrait subject is the dissident Vietnamese poet Nguyen Chi Thien. I have just published a book of his prose stories with cover photos by Christopher McCooey.
